“What makes Elliot extraordinary is his ability to address everything: technique, musicianship, interpretation, vocal health.  His wide-ranging knowledge of repertoire enables him to find music to suit the voice and to encourage growth.  I am better vocally and musically now than I was in my younger years.  I attribute my ability to continue to enjoy singing and performing to Elliot’s careful, compassionate, and challenging teaching.”

– Paul Kreuzer, bass in the Tucson Symphony Chorus

YOUR SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE IS UNMATCHED! EVERY DAY I FEEL SO LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN ONE OF YOUR STUDENTS AND I STILL USE THE TECHNIQUE YOU TAUGHT ME ALL THE WAY HERE IN NYC. - MORGAN SMITH

As a retired professional singer, I found Elliot to be dead-on regarding vocal technique and diction. His choir, although small, always sang on pitch and performed amazingly difficult music because of his teaching ability. The entire choir improved, singer by singer, by following his advice. I respect him greatly.

- Marianna Busching, Vocal Faculty (Retired) The Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University

I teach singers to excel in a wide variety of styles - classical, musical theater and jazz. My teaching is solidly based in breath, but also incorporates specific techniques of where and how a singer energizes their sound: Good tension versus hyperfunction. I incorporate elements of Alexander Technique, Body-mapping, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and Solfeggio. I emphasize diction not just for text intelligibility, but as a means to beautiful sound.

My students have won prestigious vocal competitions, have been accepted to All-State and All-Eastern Choruses, and have appeared with such performing arts organizations as the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Delaware.

Lessons are $80/hour, $60/45 minutes (recommended), $40/30 minutes. Venmo: Elliot-Jones-Music
